I am so thrilled to be chosen as one of the winners of the British Council IELTS Prize. When I heard the news, I could not believe it!
Up to now, financial constraints worried me as I felt they would impair my learning by preventing me from taking additional courses that interested me outside my field of study. However, the IELTS Prize will enable me to pursue these interests. Winning the Prize also gave me the confidence that my dreams are within reach and proves that hard work leads to results. I would again like to thank British Council for this wonderful opportunity.

I feel grateful for the opportunity to study abroad and for the kind support of my family and mentors - hard work indeed pays off in the end!
Because of the generous amount of Prize money from British Council, I will be able to spend much more on research materials for my thesis, making my stay abroad less of a struggle. The IELTS Prize means so much more to me than just financial support. I feel a sense of accomplishment and honour, as I’ll be an ambassador. Winning this Prize has given me the mental and financial strength I need to pursue my dreams!

Winning the IELTS Prize spurs my motivation to try my very best abroad and allows my family some reprieve from worrying about finances. Growing up, I have always been careful about spending money and have never really had the chance to venture abroad before. But with the IELTS Prize, I can afford an education overseas and help to shape a better future for myself, my family, and my country.
