Study Visa for Thailand

Before applying for a Student Visa, international students must already have been accepted by their chosen university. As part of your visa application, you will be required to submit your Letter of Admission, printed on the official letterhead of the appropriate university department and signed by the respective managing official. This letter serves to confirm that you have been accepted for the program and invites you to begin your studies on a certain date.

In order to be eligible for a Student Visa, international students must register for at least 3 courses per semester. A Student Visa is normally valid for one year. However, upon first application, international students will receive a Student Visa valid for 90 days. This can be extended without having to leave the country upon presentation of relevant documents.

Why do an increasing number of candidates wishing to study in Thailand choose IELTS?

(1)  Demonstrate your ability to communicate in a face-to-face Speaking test.

Unlike other language proficiency exams where you are required to talk to a machine during your Speaking test, IELTS gives you the opportunity to talk with an examiner face-to-face in a relaxing and supported environment.

(2) Develop skills relevant to your studies and student life.

IELTS places emphasis on your ability to communicate in authentic situations. There is no need to memorise large amounts of unnecessary vocabulary or grammar. Rather, IELTS includes learning how to communicate in a range of scenarios you will encounter in learning environments. This will empower you to reach your full potential in your studies and student life.
