When I was awarded the IELTS Prize, I felt honoured that British Council had given me this wonderful opportunity. I didn’t expect to win this at all in the first place, as it’s a national Prize with qualified and talented competitors from all over the country. Winning the IELTS Prize has helped my family tremendously with the financial fees necessary to study abroad. The IELTS test has also helped me recognise my strengths and weaknesses, inspiring me to improve my English every day.

Taking the English proficiency test with IELTS prepared my English not only for communication in an English-speaking country, but also for academic purposes, such as doing presentations and writing essays.

I would like to thank IELTS for this unreal opportunity because, without IELTS, I would not have been able to pursue the course and the university of my dreams!

IELTS has boosted my confidence to pursue my Master’s degree by developing my English language abilities in speaking, listening, reading and writing. Preparing for the test has not only strengthened my academic English but also my time management skills. Winning the IELTS Prize has proven me that if you put in effort and try hard enough, you will definitely accomplish whatever you want!
